Georg Demetz was born in 1962 in a family deeply rooted in arts. He is continuing the family tradition of wood carving, carried on for over 100 years now.
After attending the Art Institute of Ortisei, he had the possibility to learn the art of sculpturing from different masters. In 1987 he gained his master's certificate. Georg Demetz lives and works in Ortisei, Italy.
